My time in Washington was wonderful. I was able to meet up with a friend of a friend and he showed me around the city extensively. I didn’t take as many pictures in Seattle as I would have liked, but this is mostly because I was busy living it up. I also enjoyed a beautiful bike ride, A full round of Frisbee Golf, some solo exploring, meeting random family members, Irish Bars, a lot of Tea (and a new teapot), and a challenging Pub Quiz. Seattle was great and had delicious fish. The weather was fine and everyone I met was extremely nice. Thanks to all who put me up (and Nick for hooking me up with people in Washington). It was one of my favorite places on my trip.
I also headed to Eastern Washington and stayed with my friend Nick’s parents for the night in Pasco. Thanks to them for putting me up as well.
I made it to Jackson Wyoming last night on the longest drive so far… 11.5 hours. w00t. I’ll put some pictures up soon now that I have a good internet connection. Be patient..I have good photos on zee way.
I woke up my 2nd day in Yosemite and got my gear ready for a hike up to Clouds Rest when I saw this walking past me. It was probably the best encouter with a wild animal I have ever experienced. After it walked past me I got ready to head out and came upon it again with 2 other hikers. It barked a couple of times and then put its head back and HOWWWWWWWLLLL. It was the most amazing thing to see. THAT….is how you start your day.
Just left Yosemite (National Park) and will getting back to San Francisco this eve. I will post pictures and such from my time in California once I have some stable internet connections. Thanks for the patience, boys (and girls).
Been a while…but I made it from Austin, TX all the way to Tucson, AZ by way of West Texas and New Mexico. It was good having a driving partner for over 1,000 miles. Now Brian’s wedding. I will post pictures of the whole ordeal once I have more time. WELCOME BACK TO THE DESERT!
Made it to Austin where I have met up with Adam Yeager. His mother cooked us a delicious meal. We will be leaving for the desert shortly. Happiness abounds.
Here are some photos from my time in Louisiana. I made it to Baton Rouge before Becca & Nate left for their Journey in south east Asia. I was also able to check out New Orleans with my friend Deanna, which was lovely. I thank the people in Louisiana who let me sleep in their houses! w00t!
Oh… also, I saw one (1) Alligator, but ate many, many more. It’s quite delicious. The food in Louisiana has been the best food I’ve had hands down. If anyone decides to go to Louisiana for any reason whatsoever, make sure you take time to eat…food…there.
Apparently the car isn’t fixed…still in Georgia for an undetermined about of time. Big thank you to Kyle Nikolich for letting me stay at his place while the car sits in the shop awaiting parts…I’ll put some photos up shortly
