Here are some photos from my time in South Carolina. Enjoy.
Tennessee > North Carolina
So please take note of how these pictures steadily decline in excitement and overall pleasurability…That pretty much sums up my time in Abingdon, Virginia. I even stooped so low as to chewing Beeman’s Gum (actually, that was for you Tyson).
As per my previous post, I had some car troubles on the Virginia/Tennessee border. I ended up getting the golden opportunity to stay at the ever changing to fit my lifestyle, serene, and Triple AAA Approved ‘Alpine Motel.’ There are some pictures from before and after things went awry. I imagine you will be able to identify this shift quite easily.
So listening to this song while you are driving through the Blue Ridge Mtns is pretty ideal. Not gunna lie. Enjoy.
For those of you who don’t know this one its Blue Ridge Mountains by the Fleet Foxes.
*Extra Special Thank-you to BLin for giving me the beta on these nifty mp3 players.
So the Subaru made it out of the shop alive. Got the coolant replaced and got the f*uck out of that town. Made it down to Boone, NC and will be headed to Asheville, NC in a few hours. Not too bad…not too bad.
The beautiful and glorious Subaru, appears to be overheating…interesting choice, Subaru….interesting choice.
Spending the night in Virginia at the beautiful, serene, and ever evolving to fit our lifestyles, ‘Alpine Motel.’ Can’t beat it…unless of course you were at your destination of choice climbing rocks and so on and so forth. Hopefully the car isn’t completely f*cked. Time will tell. Time will tell.
Godammit Virginia, I was just starting to like you too.
I think I failed to mention this before, but I have been staying @ a place called Miguel’s for the past 4 days. It is a pizza & climbing shop that has $2 camping for climbers. It’s situated in the middle of some of the best climbing in the entire country and people come here from all over North America. I’ve seen a ton of license plates from Quebec to California since I’ve been here. I met some people from Toronto who taught me how to Lead Climb and let me Top Rope their climbs. I have enjoyed myself immensely, but now I am off to North Carolina. Enjoy the pictures, please.
These are some photos of my first 2 (two) days in Kentucky. I met 2 (two) dudes who let me climb with them and showed me the ROPES. HAHAHAHA… There will hopefully be plenty more photos of The Red coming shortly…but here’s a taste of my first 2 (two) days. Might be worth checking out the taller photos on my flickr page since you can see bigger images there.
Photos from my brief stop in New River Gorge, WV. The campsite I stayed @ was appropriately named ‘Brooklyn.’ What are the odds of that shit? 1 in 3. Also stopped @ a cafe….The Cathedral Cafe. An old church converted into a cafe. What are the odds of that? 1.2 in 3. Also a couple shots of my drive from New River Gorge to Kentucky. Enjoi.
Mark Rawling’s Grandparents’ Farm in Vandalia West Virginia. Quite a place.
